When I am in a Staging Consultation, many of my clients ask me why I choose Grey’s or neutral’s as my ‘Go To’ paint colours. The simple answer is that they are the perfect Move in Ready Paint colour.
Grey is one of the perfect colour choices to neutralize bold colours. It helps to soften the contrast.
You can add grey and this will help to tone things down so the entire scheme works in harmony instead of the contrasting colour appearing abrupt and visually loud
if you were to have colour on the wall and in addition to your accessories.
No matter, which colour is your buyer’s design style, chances are; a neutral will work, and allow your colourful accessories and textiles to truly pop.

Grey adds an air of sophistication and modernizes a space, no matter how old or new your house is.
This Living Room is in a very old home in New Edinburgh and still, the colour works beautifully to bring this old gem up to date and look timeless.

Because neutrals can lend a nice balance between looking sometimes grey and sometimes beige (pending your lighting and furnishings), it is super versatile, as seen here in this classic BM colour.
Because many neutrals have an undertone such as purple, brown, green or blue. Finding a neutral grey/beige is best option.

When you look at the Living Room below, this soft grey wall colour softens the backdrop and is an easy choice to work with many other colours.
Therefore it is the perfect Move in Ready colour as it can often create a serene and inviting atmosphere.

This neutral beige tone works so well in this child’s room where we decided to create this amazing Military theme. This is a great example of how neutrals can create that calming effect even with bolder colours, and colour patterns.

How do you feel about neutral’s? Are you willing to explore working with these amazing colour pallets in your home?
