This small Kemptville family bathroom renovation was part of a dual renovation within the same home, where we also completed the en-suite redesign. Although the footprint remained unchanged, our goal was to fully refresh and modernize the space while maintaining a timeless, family-friendly design.

By taking the room back to the studs and rebuilding it from the ground up, we introduced soft grey tones, a bright white vanity, and elegant patterned tile to create a clean, airy feel. The result is a light-filled bathroom that feels more spacious, cohesive, and well suited for everyday family living.

Design Build Story Highlights

Each project has an unique story that makes it special. Here are some highlights behind the photos.

Wall to Wall Niche

We added our signature wall to wall niche, a design aesthetic that not only adds function but elevates the design style of the space with a gorgeous accent tile inlay.

hidden storage

The mirror is a built-in medicine chest, which means they have the storage they need without it looking like a tradtional medicine chest and more like a pretty mirror to compliment the space.

vanity upgrade

We opted out of a vanity with an integrated back-splash. A design decision that allowed us to add a complimentary tile to match the shower niche inlay tile.

floor tile

We added this gorgeous stretched Hexagon tile to make the bathroom floor have some design style. This tile adds an unexpected detail, that makes a beautiful and unique statement.

client review

We hired Gilbert and Cindy to replace and update our 35-year-old main bathroom and create an EN-suite from a powder room and walk-in closet in the master bedroom. With Gilbert’s expert carpentry and design building skills and Cindy’s amazing designer skills, they were able to create two beautiful spaces in our home that we love and are really proud of.
