DESIGN BUILD

Kitchen – Living/Dining Room Transformation

This transformation required a focused approach to create an open concept, while maintaining the same footprint.

We had to look past the dark dated aesthetic, and come up with something unique, and modern.

The goal was to bring in some light, and modernize the entire area including all three living zones.

Since we omitted an entire wall, we had to really get creative in the functionality of this kitchen.

This is were the pantry/oven wall, and the double sided island worked to support this end goal.

design build story

Each project has an unique story that makes it special. Here are some highlights behind the photos.

Wall to Wall Niche

We added a wall to wall niche (this is our signature design aesthetic) this adds function and design style to the space.

hidden storage

The mirror is actually a built-in medicine chest, which means they have the storage they need without it looking like a medicine chest and more like a pretty mirror.

vanity upgrade

Opting for a vanity without the built-in backsplash. This allows us to add the custom backsplash which ties into the shower niche.

floor tile

We added this gorgeous stretched Hexagon tile to make the bathroom floor have some design style.

client review

We hired Gilbert and Cindy to replace and update our 35-year-old main bathroom and create an EN-suite from a powder room and walk-in closet in the master bedroom. With Gilbert’s expert carpentry and design building skills and Cindy’s amazing designer skills, they were able to create two beautiful spaces in our home that we love and are really proud of.
